Conaway, DeBoy, Doory, Dumais, Feldman, Frank, Glenn, Hucker, James, Kaiser, Kirk,<br />

Krysiak, Lafferty, Lee, Manno, McHale, Montgomery, Rice, Rosenberg, Shewell, Stukes,<br />

and Tarrant<br />

AN ACT concerning<br />

<strong>Maryland</strong> Transit Administration – Continuation <strong>of</strong> Passenger Railroad Service on<br />

Amtrak and CSX Lines<br />

FOR the purpose <strong>of</strong> requiring the <strong>Maryland</strong> Transit Administration to continue to operate<br />

passenger railroad service on certain lines at levels equivalent to the levels<br />

established as <strong>of</strong> certain dates; prohibiting the Administration from closing a<br />

station before a certain date, subject to an exception; requiring the Administration<br />

to hold a certain public hearing under certain circumstances; requiring the<br />

Administration to give a certain notice <strong>of</strong> the hearing; prohibiting the<br />

Administration from taking certain actions if inadequate notice is given;<br />

prohibiting the Administration from making certain policy changes during a<br />

certain time period; and generally relating to passenger railroad service on certain<br />

railroad lines.<br />

AN ACT concerning<br />

Baltimore County – English Language – Formal Recognition<br />

FOR the purpose <strong>of</strong> designating the English language as the <strong>of</strong>ficial language <strong>of</strong><br />

Baltimore County; making provisions <strong>of</strong> this Act applicable to certain Baltimore<br />

County functions and agencies; providing for certain exceptions; providing that<br />

this Act may not be construed to require the translation into English <strong>of</strong> any <strong>of</strong>ficial<br />

motto or slogan; making provisions <strong>of</strong> this Act severable; and generally relating to<br />

the designation <strong>of</strong> English as the <strong>of</strong>ficial language <strong>of</strong> Baltimore County.<br />
