AN ACT concerning<br />

Corporate Income Tax Reform<br />

FOR the purpose <strong>of</strong> requiring certain corporations to compute <strong>Maryland</strong> taxable income<br />

using a certain method; providing that, except as provided by and subject to<br />

regulations <strong>of</strong> the Comptroller, certain groups <strong>of</strong> corporations shall file a<br />

combined income tax return reflecting the aggregate income tax liability <strong>of</strong> all <strong>of</strong><br />

the members <strong>of</strong> the group for certain taxable years; requiring the Comptroller to<br />

adopt certain regulations; requiring certain corporations under certain<br />

circumstances to include with an income tax return or otherwise file with the<br />

Comptroller a certain statement; defining certain terms; providing for the<br />

application <strong>of</strong> this Act; and generally relating to the income tax on corporations.<br />

Voter Registration Protection Act<br />

FOR the purpose <strong>of</strong> altering certain qualifications for voter registration; providing that an<br />

individual is not qualified to register to vote if the individual has been convicted <strong>of</strong><br />

a felony and is actually serving a court–ordered sentence imposed for the<br />

conviction; repealing certain conditions relating to the eligibility <strong>of</strong> certain felons<br />

convicted <strong>of</strong> certain crimes to register to vote; modifying the criteria under which<br />

a certain criminal penalty may be imposed; and generally relating to voter<br />

registration eligibility requirements for individuals convicted <strong>of</strong> certain crimes.
