AN ACT concerning<br />

<strong>Maryland</strong> Transit Authority Pension Plan – Transfer <strong>of</strong> Service Credit<br />

FOR the purpose <strong>of</strong> providing that certain individuals who were members <strong>of</strong> the<br />

Employees’ Retirement System and the State Contributory Employees’ Pension<br />

System may transfer certain service credit to the <strong>Maryland</strong> Transit Authority<br />

Pension Plan in a certain manner; providing for a refund <strong>of</strong> certain member<br />

contributions under certain circumstances; requiring the transfer <strong>of</strong> certain<br />

employer contributions to the accumulation fund <strong>of</strong> the <strong>Maryland</strong> Transit<br />

Authority Pension Plan; providing that certain transfers <strong>of</strong> credit between the<br />

Employees’ Retirement and Pension Systems and the <strong>Maryland</strong> Transit Authority<br />

Pension Plan are not governed by certain provisions <strong>of</strong> law; defining a certain<br />

term; providing for the termination <strong>of</strong> this Act; and generally relating to the<br />

transfer <strong>of</strong> service credit to the <strong>Maryland</strong> Transit Authority Pension Plan.<br />

AN ACT concerning<br />

Public Health – Lyme Disease – Public Awareness Campaign<br />

FOR the purpose <strong>of</strong> requiring the Secretary <strong>of</strong> Health and Mental Hygiene, in<br />

collaboration with other State agencies, to establish and promote a certain public<br />

awareness campaign related to the prevention <strong>of</strong> Lyme disease and other<br />

tick–borne illnesses; providing for the components <strong>of</strong> the campaign; authorizing<br />

the Secretary to use certain resources to carry out the provisions <strong>of</strong> this Act; and<br />

generally relating to a public awareness campaign for Lyme disease.<br />
