Department to adopt certain regulations; requiring local workforce investment<br />

boards that receive grants under the Program to meet certain requirements;<br />

requiring certain approved programs to meet certain requirements; requiring the<br />

AN ACT concerning<br />

EMERGENCY BILL<br />

Public Safety – Emergency Management – Essential Goods and Services<br />

FOR the purpose <strong>of</strong> prohibiting a person from selling or <strong>of</strong>fering to sell certain goods or<br />

services for a certain price during a state <strong>of</strong> emergency; prohibiting a person from<br />

selling or <strong>of</strong>fering to sell certain services for a certain price during a state <strong>of</strong><br />

emergency and for a certain amount <strong>of</strong> time following a state <strong>of</strong> emergency;<br />

creating a certain exception; providing for certain criminal penalties; providing<br />

that certain provisions may be extended by certain <strong>of</strong>ficials for certain time<br />

periods under certain circumstances; providing that certain remedies are<br />

cumulative to certain remedies or penalties; providing that a certain sale or <strong>of</strong>fer<br />

for sale is an unfair or deceptive trade practice; providing that nothing in this<br />

subtitle shall preempt a certain ordinance; defining certain terms; making this Act
