EMERGENCY BILL
Maryland Tort Claims Act – Employee or Official of the Maryland Agricultural and
Resource–Based Industry Development Corporation
FOR the purpose of expanding the definition of State personnel under the Maryland Tort
Claims Act to include an employee or official of the Maryland Agricultural and
Resource–Based Industry Development Corporation; making this Act an
emergency measure; providing for the application of this Act; and generally
relating to the Maryland Tort Claims Act.

Identity Fraud – Inducing Another to Provide Identifying

FOR the purpose of prohibiting the act of claiming to be another person without the
knowledge and consent of that person with the intent of soliciting, requesting,
persuading, or otherwise inducing another person to provide the personal
identifying information or payment device number of another person without the
knowledge and consent of that person; establishing a penalty; expanding the
definition of “personal identifying information”; and generally relating to the
