AN ACT concerning<br />

Health Care Decisions Act – Emergency Medical Services “Do Not Resuscitate<br />

Orders” – Health Care Providers<br />

FOR the purpose <strong>of</strong> authorizing certain health care providers to comply with an<br />

emergency medical services “do not resuscitate order” under certain<br />

circumstances; requiring certain health care providers to comply with an<br />

emergency medical services “do not resuscitate order” under certain<br />

circumstances; and generally relating to emergency medical services “do not<br />

resuscitate orders”.<br />

BY repealing and reenacting, with amendments,<br />

House Bill 683 – Delegates Mathias and Conway<br />

AN ACT concerning<br />

Worcester County – Fire and Explosive Investigators – Authority<br />

FOR the purpose <strong>of</strong> providing that, under certain circumstances, a Worcester County fire<br />

and explosive investigator operating in Worcester County has the same authority<br />

as the State Fire Marshal and a full–time investigative and inspection assistant in<br />

the Office <strong>of</strong> the State Fire Marshal to make an arrest without a warrant and<br />

exercise certain powers <strong>of</strong> arrest; authorizing a Worcester County fire and<br />

explosive investigator to exercise certain authority while operating outside<br />

Worcester County under certain circumstances; authorizing the Worcester County<br />

Fire Marshal to limit certain authority <strong>of</strong> a fire and explosive investigator to make<br />

an arrest without a warrant or exercise certain powers <strong>of</strong> arrest; requiring the<br />

Worcester County Fire Marshal to express the limitation in writing; excluding a<br />

Worcester County fire and explosive investigator from the definition <strong>of</strong> “law<br />

enforcement <strong>of</strong>ficer” under the law relating to the Law Enforcement Officers’ Bill<br />

<strong>of</strong> Rights; including a Worcester County fire and explosive investigator in the
