House Bill 493 – Montgomery County Delegation and Prince George’s County<br />

Delegation<br />

AN ACT concerning<br />

Prince George’s County – Property Tax Set<strong>of</strong>fs in Municipal<br />

Corporations – <strong>Maryland</strong>–National Capital Park and Planning Commission Taxes<br />

MC/PG 432–07<br />

FOR the purpose <strong>of</strong> requiring the governing body <strong>of</strong> Prince George’s County under<br />

certain circumstances to grant a property tax set<strong>of</strong>f to a municipal corporation as<br />

to the property tax imposed by Prince George’s County for the<br />

<strong>Maryland</strong>–National Capital Park and Planning Commission; requiring the<br />

governing body <strong>of</strong> Prince George’s County to consider certain services and<br />

programs provided by the <strong>Maryland</strong>–National Capital Park and Planning<br />

Commission in determining the county property tax rate to be set for assessments<br />

<strong>of</strong> property in a municipal corporation; and generally relating to property tax<br />

set<strong>of</strong>fs in municipal corporations in Prince George’s County.<br />

AN ACT concerning<br />

Elevator Safety – Third–Party Qualified Elevator Inspectors<br />

FOR the purpose <strong>of</strong> authorizing the inspection <strong>of</strong> modifications or alterations <strong>of</strong> elevator<br />

units in existing buildings by third–party qualified elevator inspectors; requiring<br />

the Commissioner <strong>of</strong> Labor and Industry to adopt certain regulations for<br />

inspections <strong>of</strong> modifications or alterations <strong>of</strong> elevator units in existing buildings;<br />

requiring the Commissioner to establish certain qualifications and procedures to<br />

register third–party qualified elevator inspectors; providing that certain notice and
