Sickle Cell Disease Day Infusion Center in the State; requiring the Center to be<br />

structured in a certain manner; requiring the Center to include certain services;<br />

requiring the Steering Committee to work to expand a certain Center to include<br />

certain services; requiring the Governor to include a certain appropriation <strong>of</strong> a<br />

certain amount in the State budget in certain fiscal years; requiring the Steering<br />

Committee to develop and implement a certain case management system;<br />

providing for services that a certain case management system may include;<br />

requiring the Governor to include a certain appropriation <strong>of</strong> a certain amount in<br />

AN ACT concerning<br />

Vehicle Laws – Abandoned Vehicles – Notice<br />

FOR the purpose <strong>of</strong> requiring a police department that takes an abandoned vehicle into<br />

custody to identify the last known owner, insurer, and secured party <strong>of</strong> the<br />

abandoned vehicle under certain circumstances; requiring a police department to<br />

provide certain additional notice to a vehicle owner, insurer, or secured party that<br />

the abandoned vehicle was taken into custody; expanding the notice requirement<br />

to include notice to the insurer <strong>of</strong> the owner’s and secured party’s right to reclaim<br />

the vehicle within a certain period <strong>of</strong> time; requiring a police department in Prince<br />

George’s County to provide a certain notice to the owner, secured party, and<br />

insurer by certified mail; allowing the last known owner <strong>of</strong> the vehicle or a<br />

secured party to authorize another person or the insurer to secure the release <strong>of</strong> the<br />

vehicle; and generally relating to the notice required to be provided by a police<br />

department that takes an abandoned vehicle into custody.
