House Bill 1075 – Delegates Bartlett, Elliott, and Stull<br />

AN ACT concerning<br />

Study to Evaluate Strategies to Reduce Deer–Vehicle Collisions<br />

FOR the purpose <strong>of</strong> requiring the Department <strong>of</strong> Natural Resources, the Department <strong>of</strong><br />

Transportation, and the Department <strong>of</strong> State Police to jointly conduct a study to<br />

evaluate strategies to reduce deer–vehicle collisions; requiring the study to include<br />

certain reviews, evaluations, and examinations; requiring the Departments to<br />

jointly submit a report to the <strong>General</strong> <strong>Assembly</strong> on or before a certain date;<br />

providing for the termination <strong>of</strong> this Act; and generally relating to a study to<br />

evaluate strategies to reduce deer–vehicle collisions.<br />

House Bill 1076 – Delegates Eckardt, Frank, George, Haddaway, McComas, Schuh,<br />

Shank, and Smigiel<br />

AN ACT concerning<br />

Health Insurance – Low–Income Health Insurance Premium Support Fund<br />

FOR the purpose <strong>of</strong> establishing the Low–Income Health Insurance Premium Support<br />

Fund; providing for the purpose <strong>of</strong> the Fund; requiring the <strong>Maryland</strong> Health Care<br />

Commission to administer the Fund; providing that the Fund is a special,<br />

nonlapsing fund; providing that certain interest and other income from the Fund<br />

shall be accounted for and credited in a certain manner; establishing the source <strong>of</strong><br />

funds in the Fund; providing that subsidies from the Fund shall be made in a<br />

certain manner to certain individuals in accordance with a certain methodology<br />

established by the Commission; requiring the Commission to issue a certain report<br />

to the <strong>General</strong> <strong>Assembly</strong> each year on or before a certain date; requiring the<br />

Health Services Cost Review Commission to establish a certain methodology; and<br />

generally relating to subsidies for health insurance premiums.
