operating unless a certain card is in place; requiring a food establishment to
maintain certain records that relate to a certain card; specifying certain penalties;
requiring the Department to conduct certain inspections of food establishments
and adopt certain regulations for issuing certain letter grades to food
establishments based on certain inspections; specifying a certain period for
validity of a letter grade; and generally relating to the inspection and grading of
food establishments by the Department.

AN ACT concerning
Department of Energy
FOR the purpose of redesignating the Maryland Energy Administration as the
Department of Energy; establishing the Department of Energy as a principal
department of State government; establishing the Secretary of Energy as the head
of the Department of Energy; providing for the appointment, powers, duties, and
salary of the Secretary; requiring the Attorney General to assign a certain number
of assistant attorneys general to perform certain duties and functions in the
Department of Energy; providing that all rights, obligations, and policies of the
Maryland Energy Administration shall continue in effect under the Department of
Energy, except as provided by law; providing for the transfer of the employees of
