AN ACT concerning<br />

Election Law – Absentee Ballots – Timely Receipt<br />

FOR the purpose <strong>of</strong> establishing criteria to be used to evaluate and determine whether an<br />

absentee ballot is deemed to be timely received; repealing the authority <strong>of</strong> the<br />

State Board <strong>of</strong> Elections to establish certain regulations and guidelines relating to<br />

the timely receipt <strong>of</strong> absentee ballots; defining a certain term; and generally<br />

relating to the timely receipt <strong>of</strong> absentee ballots.<br />

House Bill 366 – Delegate Bohanan<br />

AN ACT concerning<br />

Election Administration and the Recruitment and Retention <strong>of</strong> Election Judges<br />

FOR the purpose <strong>of</strong> requiring that each public institution <strong>of</strong> higher education in the State<br />

be closed for normal academic activities on general election day; requiring certain<br />

institutions <strong>of</strong> higher education to be open to accommodate voting on certain<br />

election <strong>days</strong>; requiring the governing body <strong>of</strong> each public institution <strong>of</strong> higher<br />

education to consider certain matters and policies to assist in the administration <strong>of</strong><br />

elections; requiring a local board <strong>of</strong> elections to establish a polling place at each<br />

public or private institution <strong>of</strong> higher education in its county; providing that a local<br />

board may appoint an election judge to serve for all or part <strong>of</strong> a day at a polling
