MESSAGE TO THE SENATE<br />

We propose with your concurrence a joint session <strong>of</strong> the <strong>General</strong> <strong>Assembly</strong> at 11:00<br />

AM on February, 1, <strong>2007</strong> for the election and qualifying <strong>of</strong> the Treasurer <strong>of</strong> the State <strong>of</strong><br />

<strong>Maryland</strong> by joint ballot in accordance with Article 6 Section 1 and 5 <strong>of</strong> the Constitution.<br />

We have appointed Delegates Kirk and Walkup to escort your Honorable Body to the<br />

House Chamber for this Joint Session.<br />

We further propose a joint committee <strong>of</strong> four, two on the part <strong>of</strong> the House and two on<br />

the part <strong>of</strong> the Senate to escort the Treasurer-Elect. We have appointed on the part <strong>of</strong> the<br />

House, Delegates Branch and Goldwater.
