AN ACT concerning<br />

State Board <strong>of</strong> Education – Insect and Food Allergies – Guidelines<br />

FOR the purpose <strong>of</strong> requiring the State Board <strong>of</strong> Education to adopt certain regulations<br />

that establish certain guidelines for providing emergency medical care to certain<br />

students who have an anaphylactic reaction to insect stings or the ingestion <strong>of</strong> or<br />

exposure to certain food items; providing for the content <strong>of</strong> certain guidelines; and<br />

generally relating to State Board <strong>of</strong> Education guidelines for care <strong>of</strong> students with<br />

insect and food allergies.<br />

AN ACT concerning<br />

Department <strong>of</strong> Business and Economic Development – <strong>Maryland</strong> Small Business<br />

Development Financing Authority – Small Business Investment Companies<br />

FOR the purpose <strong>of</strong> authorizing the Department <strong>of</strong> Business and Economic Development<br />

to contract with two or more private companies to administer the programs <strong>of</strong> the<br />

<strong>Maryland</strong> Small Business Development Financing Authority; specifying that, if<br />

the Department contracts with companies to administer certain programs, the<br />

Department is required to contract with at least one company in the Baltimore<br />

metropolitan region and at least one company in the <strong>Maryland</strong> portion <strong>of</strong> the<br />

Washington metropolitan region and is required to ensure that each company with
