House Bill 1066 – Delegates Taylor, DeBoy, Hubbard, Hucker, Kaiser, Krebs, Lee,<br />

McKee, Minnick, Montgomery, Rice, and Vaughn<br />

AN ACT concerning<br />

Criminal Procedure – Parole and Probation – Alcohol Monitoring Devices<br />

FOR the purpose <strong>of</strong> authorizing the Parole Commission or a Commission panel to require<br />

in a parole order or a modification <strong>of</strong> a parole order that a person who was<br />

convicted <strong>of</strong> a crime in which alcohol consumption by the person was a factor<br />

wear a certain alcohol monitoring device; authorizing a court to require as a<br />

condition <strong>of</strong> probation before judgment that a defendant wear a certain alcohol<br />

monitoring device if the crime for which the judgment is being stayed is one in<br />

which alcohol consumption by the defendant was a factor; authorizing a court to<br />

require as a condition <strong>of</strong> probation that a defendant wear a certain device if the<br />

crime for which the defendant is placed on probation is one in which alcohol<br />

consumption by the defendant was a factor; and generally relating to conditions <strong>of</strong><br />

parole and probation and alcohol monitoring devices.<br />
