INTRODUCTION OF BILLS<br />

House Bill 511 – Delegates Busch, Barnes, Beidle, V. Clagett, Costa, Frush, George,<br />

J. King, Kipke, Love, McConkey, Pena–Melnyk, Schuh, and Sophocleus<br />

AN ACT concerning<br />

Creation <strong>of</strong> a State Debt – Anne Arundel County – Children’s Theatre <strong>of</strong> Annapolis<br />

FOR the purpose <strong>of</strong> authorizing the creation <strong>of</strong> a State Debt not to exceed $225,000, the<br />

proceeds to be used as a grant to the Board <strong>of</strong> Directors <strong>of</strong> the Children’s Theatre<br />

<strong>of</strong> Annapolis, Inc. for certain development or improvement purposes; providing<br />

for disbursement <strong>of</strong> the loan proceeds, subject to a requirement that the grantee<br />

provide and expend a matching fund; establishing a deadline for the encumbrance<br />

or expenditure <strong>of</strong> the loan proceeds; and providing generally for the issuance and<br />

sale <strong>of</strong> bonds evidencing the loan.<br />
