House Bill 936 – Delegate Elmore<br />

AN ACT concerning<br />

Creation <strong>of</strong> a State Debt – Somerset County – Teackle Mansion Restoration and<br />

Expansion<br />

FOR the purpose <strong>of</strong> authorizing the creation <strong>of</strong> a State Debt not to exceed $250,000, the<br />

proceeds to be used as a grant to the Board <strong>of</strong> Directors <strong>of</strong> the Friends <strong>of</strong> Teackle<br />

Mansion, Inc. for certain development or improvement purposes; providing for<br />

disbursement <strong>of</strong> the loan proceeds, subject to a requirement that the grantee<br />

provide and expend a matching fund; requiring the grantee to grant and convey a<br />

certain easement to the <strong>Maryland</strong> Historical Trust; establishing a deadline for the<br />

encumbrance or expenditure <strong>of</strong> the loan proceeds; and providing generally for the<br />

issuance and sale <strong>of</strong> bonds evidencing the loan.<br />

House Bill 937 – Delegates Shank, Hecht, Kelly, McComas, Myers, Stifler, and Weldon<br />

AN ACT concerning<br />

Criminal Law – Crimes <strong>of</strong> Violence – Sexual Abuse <strong>of</strong> a Minor and Continuing<br />

Course <strong>of</strong> Conduct with a Child<br />

FOR the purpose <strong>of</strong> adding the crimes <strong>of</strong> sexual abuse <strong>of</strong> a child under a certain age and<br />

continuing course <strong>of</strong> conduct with a child to the list <strong>of</strong> crimes <strong>of</strong> violence for<br />

which certain enhanced penalties are applied to certain <strong>of</strong>fenders; and generally<br />

relating to crimes <strong>of</strong> violence.<br />
