AN ACT concerning<br />

Public Safety – Statewide DNA Data Base System – Sexual Offenses and<br />

Kidnapping – Sample Collection on Arrest<br />

FOR the purpose <strong>of</strong> altering certain provisions to require the collection <strong>of</strong> a DNA sample<br />

from an individual under arrest for certain sexual <strong>of</strong>fenses or kidnappings instead<br />

<strong>of</strong> from an individual convicted <strong>of</strong> a felony or certain burglary <strong>of</strong>fenses; altering a<br />

certain definition; defining a certain term; requiring a DNA sample to be collected<br />

at the facility where a certain arrest is processed; requiring an individual who was<br />

arrested before a certain date and convicted on or after a certain date to submit a<br />

DNA sample; repealing a certain provision that permits the expungement <strong>of</strong> a<br />

DNA sample; and generally relating to the collection <strong>of</strong> DNA samples.<br />

AN ACT concerning<br />

<strong>Maryland</strong> Children’s Health Program – Expansion <strong>of</strong> Eligibility<br />

FOR the purpose <strong>of</strong> altering the income eligibility requirements for the <strong>Maryland</strong><br />

Children’s Health Program; authorizing the Department <strong>of</strong> Health and Mental<br />

Hygiene to determine the amount <strong>of</strong> a certain family contribution; repealing<br />

provisions <strong>of</strong> law that require the Department to set certain family contributions at<br />

certain amounts; requiring the Department to provide a certain report to certain<br />

committees <strong>of</strong> the <strong>General</strong> <strong>Assembly</strong> on or before a certain date; altering a certain<br />

definition; making certain technical changes; and generally relating to the<br />

<strong>Maryland</strong> Children’s Health Program.<br />
