312 And the earth shall quake terribly.
Trees shall sweat a bloody sapo
The air shall be racked by storms and thundering;
with all the mountains and rocks crumbling against each other,
and all the earth razed by fire.
317 The Lord Judge, before his appearance, shall arder
fire to c1eanse all things at the outset.
Let all filth and stench vanish from the whole world,
and thus shall the whole earth be scorched.
321 A trumpet shall sound throughout the world:
«Arise all ye dead and come hither from your tombs
now that your bodies and souls are resurrected!»
All of us are to go thither, unexcused.
325 The just shall rise up through the air,
and shall sit to the right of the judge.
The sinners shall writhe upon the burning earth
until they hear their sentence passed.
329 And when all are gathered before Him,
he shall swoop down from the heavens with the saints.
He will sit in Joshaphat on high.
He shall chide the sinners.
His words will leave them all distraught.
334 When He wished to go through with the Holy Passion,
people carne out against Him in arms.
With a single word He caused them to cower in fear.
In coming to judge so majestically,
how could He fail to humble the world?
339 Then shall He say to sinners in asad voice:
«Ve forgot me while ye lived.
In spite of the good I did for you throughout your lives,
I received not the slightest bit of your gratitude».
343 «Whatever good ye have is from me:
your bodies and all your belongings as well as your souls.
For you I made heaven and earth,
the sun, the moon, and all fruits»,
347 «Fire which warms, water which c1eans, air to breathe,
your guardian angels, intercessors.
Thereafter I gave my life for you;
In recompense what did ye give in return?»
