EXTRACT FROM THE REGISTRY
Francois Morpain, master printer of this city of Bordeaux hereby humbly
makes the following request: in printing the booklet entitled Linguae Vasconum
Primitiae, he has had to undergo great expense and costs. In consideration
thereof, may it please the Court to forbid every book printer in this jurisdiction
to print or have printed said booklet, and forbid every merchant to sell
any other printing thereof for three years under the penalty of a thousand
Tours pounds.
In consideration of this petition, the Court has hereby granted by decree
the bans requested by said Morpain under penalty of a thousand Tours pounds.
Delivered in Bordeaux at Parliament, the last day of April, fifteen hundred
and forty-five.
