Octavian Smigelschi, and others bear the marking of skilled and
gifted daubers, which left behind veritable spiritual treasures in the
fresco, oil and tempera. Although we do not dispose of numerous
data regarding their past, based on the information we have, we
sought to remember both the founders, as well as the heirs and
implicitly their benefactors who fully contributed to preserving the
faith and to forming the Romanian national culture. Thus, i have
briefly exposed some of the conclusions I have reached, following
the research and using the documents and inscriptions I gained
access to.
