or mate, death, besides, the lamenting of separated from their mothers and it takes
places in the wider themes. Woman is idealized, the existance of mother in the
thought of metaphysics and especially the mother theme that processing in the poems
relating to society shows that the art of poem is unrestricted. These are the ones that
give the image of mother as powerful, however, they can not be completely thought
in the theme of mother.
This theses, aimed at the searching of the theme of mother in the Turkish
poem in the period of Republic, is formed three parts. In the first part, explaining the
poems of the poets and the mothers’ effects on the poets, whose lives are illuminated
by them, are mentioned. In the second part, a general peering at the Turkish poem in
the period of Republic. In the third part, the basic theme of mother in the literature,
processing direct or indirect in the Turkish poem in the period of Republic “mother”
in the poets’poems is examined.
