Ziel des Kurses:
From this lesson, students will establish rich knowledge of international logistics, its current
development and solutions. They will have the ability for international logistics network design,
management, and related activities’ planning, scheduling, optimisation and controlling. They will also
grasp up-to-date technologies, methods and techniques in conducting international logistics business.
Inhalt:
- Basic foundation and development of international logistics
- Main activities and businesses involved in international logistics, including global inventory control,
transportation spend management, import/export process management, logistics outsourcing
- Frameworks, strategies and tools for designing logistics network
- Operational research approaches like mathematical programming and artificial intelligence for
planning, scheduling, configuration, and optimisation
- Environmental impact, such as international standards, culture, locations and tariffs
- IT, especially internet-based technology like global trade management platforms and data gateways
for automation and collaboration
- Visual control and risk management for international logistics reliability
- Along with the contents, case studies will be examined
