The Northwest Campus brings a full spectrum of recreational<br />

and cultural programs and services to families in<br />

the northwest region of <strong>Pima</strong> County.<br />

outstanding courses are offered in accounting, information<br />

technology; business; psychology; social sciences; languages<br />

and communication; nutrition and food science;<br />

arts and humanities; and sciences and mathematics at the<br />

campus and online.<br />

The Northwest Campus has outstanding occupational programs<br />

in Therapeutic Massage, Clinical Research<br />

Coordinator and Direct Care Professional. The Therapeutic<br />

Massage program offers both a certificate and an AAS which<br />

prepare students for state or national licensure. The Clinical<br />

Research Coordinator Program certificate or AAS prepares<br />

students to coordinate human subject clinical trials, and<br />

students who complete the Direct Care Professional certificate<br />

are trained to care for the aging and disabled in various<br />

private group home settings. In addition, the Northwest<br />

Campus continues to develop new programs, certificates<br />

and courses to meet current educational needs of students.<br />

The campus also partners with the K-12 community, including<br />

a wide variety of dual enrollment options, a hotel and<br />

Restaurant Management program partnership with JTeD<br />

and the Aztec Middle <strong>College</strong>.<br />

The heart of the campus includes student support services<br />

such as a comprehensive Student Services Center, library,<br />

Tutoring and Computer Commons. Campus facilities also<br />

include classrooms; labs for biology, chemistry, astronomy,<br />

physics, geology and geography; and state-of-the-art<br />

technology classrooms. A beautiful promenade and outdoor<br />

amphitheater provide opportunities for students,<br />

faculty, staff and community visitors to gather in relaxed<br />

settings.<br />

The Northwest Campus partners with the Northwest YMCA<br />

and <strong>Pima</strong> County Parks and Recreation for facility use and<br />

programming.<br />

PCC students may take a full range of fitness, wellness and<br />

dance classes at the YMCA. <strong>Pima</strong> County Natural<br />

Resources, Parks and Recreation occupies a significant part<br />

of the facility, establishing ballparks, other recreation facilities,<br />

and education programs.<br />

The Northwest Campus hosts a unique partnership<br />

between the <strong>College</strong> and Northern Arizona University. The<br />

Bachelor’s Degree in hotel and Restaurant Management<br />

from NAU may be completed at the Northwest Campus.<br />

The first two years of the program, the associate degree,<br />

is offered by the <strong>College</strong> and all of its credits transfer into<br />

the NAU program. The last two years of the degree is<br />

taught by NAU faculty on the Northwest Campus. A certificate<br />

for direct employment for those seeking an<br />

immediate, entry-level job in the hotel, resort, and restaurant<br />

industry is also available.<br />
