NSP 200 Naval Laboratory II<br />

Introduction to the theory and principles of operation of naval weapons systems. Includes types of weapons, fire control<br />

and tracking, trajectory principles, and basic naval ordinance.<br />

NSP 202 Sea Power and Maritime Affairs<br />

United States Naval history from the American Revolution to the present. Includes the general concept of seapower, the<br />

role of various warfare components of the Navy in supporting its mission, the implementation of seapower as an<br />

instrument of national policy, and a comparative study of U.S. and Soviet naval strategies.<br />

NSP 205 Leadership and Management<br />

Basic concepts of management and organization. Includes concept applications to operations and personnel<br />

RTH 110 Introduction to Respiratory Care<br />

Overview of respiratory care. Includes respiratory care and the health care system, computer applications, terms,<br />

symbols, and units of measure, patient safety, communication, and record keeping, principles of infection control, ethical<br />

and legal implications of practice, and basic life support.<br />

RTH 112 Respiratory Physiology<br />

Study of the cardiopulmonary system and associated structures. Includes the anatomy of the respiratory system,<br />

ventilation and diffusion of pulmonary gases, the circulatory system, oxygen and carbon dioxide transport, control of<br />

ventilation, and renal failure and its effects on the cardiopulmonary system.<br />

Basic respiratory care therapeutics, equipment function, clinical indications and contraindications. Includes medical gas<br />

therapy, oxygen delivery devices, humidity and aerosol therapy, hyperinflation therapy, chest physical therapy, and basic<br />

airway management.<br />
