Introductory workshop in tutoring composition. Includes tutee characteristics and tutoring techniques for development of<br />

writing strategies.<br />

Prerequisite(s): WRT 101 and 102 with a grade of C or better.<br />

Offered: Fall, Spring, Summer.<br />

WRT 282 Intermediate Workshop in Tutoring Composition<br />

1 cr. hrs. 3 periods (3 lab)<br />

Continuation of WRT 281. Includes assisting tutees with research methods, assisting tutees with disabilities, and assisting<br />

tutees whose first language is not English.<br />

Prerequisite(s): WRT 281 with a C or better.<br />

Offered: Fall, Spring, Summer.<br />

WRT 285 <strong>Pima</strong> Writers’ Workshop<br />

2 cr. hrs. 2 periods (2 lec.)<br />

Writing of fiction, nonfiction, poetry, and stories for children. Includes techniques of writing, publishing trends and<br />

approaches, and criteria for evaluating writing. Also includes the opportunity for participants to have their writing critiqued<br />

and presentations by professional authors, editors, and agents.<br />

Information: May be taken five times for a maximum of ten credit hours.<br />
