AJS 280 Terrorism in the 21st Century<br />

Exploration into the definition, history, cause, and goals of terrorism. Includes indentification of terrorists and their<br />

motivations and examination of tactics used by terrorists in pursuit of their goals. Also includes mothods used to combat<br />

terrorism including intelligence collection, security measures, diplomacy, legal and political reponses.<br />

Participation in community administration of justice agencies. Includes experience in the practical application of classroom<br />

instruction. Also includes biweekly seminars to discuss theory and practice pertinent to the agency experience.<br />

geographic subsistence, women’s roles and responsibilities, spirituality and world views, and values and value systems.<br />

Also includes early education, socialization, and importance of extended family, history of tribal sovereignty and<br />

governance, health and curing, and encounters and reactions with early Europeans.<br />

AIS 102 Introduction to American Indian Studies II<br />

Continuation of AIS 101. Includes traditional tribal governments, history of Indian-White relations and impact on tribal<br />

governments, American Indian status in White society, issues of tribal sovereignty and self-governance, and today’s issues<br />

and topics.<br />
