Continuation of RAD 177LC. Includes diagnostic and fluoroscopic equipment and procedures, contrast media policies and<br />

protocols, intravenous administration, and gastrointestinal, genitourinary, and biliary exams.<br />

Competency-based assignments, concepts of patient-centered clinical practice and professional development shall be<br />

discussed, examined, performed and evaluated under the supervision of a certified Radiologic Technologist. The clinical<br />

practicum incorporates critical analysis, integration, synthesis and evaluation of concepts and theories in the performance<br />

of radiographic procedures.<br />

This is a capstone course. Includes review of radiographic procedures, image production and evaluation, patient care,<br />

equipment operation, and radiation protection.<br />

This is a capstone course which includes instruction in making application to the American Registry of Radiologic<br />

Technology (AART) and the Medical Radiologic Technology Board of Examiners (MRTBE). The course includes both a<br />

written mock registry and a computerized exam.<br />
