EDS 290B Internship II<br />

Overview of the student teaching experience, Teacher Preparation Program (TPP) Internship. Includes initial discussion,<br />

observation, assessing the learning environments, evaluating educational resources, long and short-term planning, midterm<br />

evaluation, curriculum development and implementation and accommodation to individual needs. Also includes<br />

assessments, parent and community collaboration, portfolio, teamwork, and professional development and evaluation.<br />

Information:<br />

This course requires admission to the Post Degree Teacher Certification Program and TPP Internship and Education<br />

Department approval prior to registration.<br />

EDS 290A, 290B, 290C, and 290D together constitute EDS 290.<br />

ETT 101 Introduction to Educational Technology<br />

An introduction to educational technology exploring the current and emerging technologies available to teachers. Includes<br />

theoretical foundations of educational technology, technology enhanced instruction, digital technologies for the classroom,<br />

and an overview of productivity, school and classroom management software.<br />

ETT 103 Introduction to the Internet in Education<br />

3 cr. hrs. 3 periods (3 lec.)<br />

Basic use of the internet for education. Includes network and telecommunication systems, web-based applications for<br />

teaching and learning, and audio-visual technologies. Also includes an introduction to distance education and issues in<br />

implementing internet technologies in schools.<br />

ETT 110 Blackboard Vista Course Development and Delivery<br />

3 cr. hrs. 3 periods (3 lec.)<br />

Overview, concepts, and techniques for online course preparation, delivery, and management using Blackboard Vista.<br />

Includes advanced web and Internet use, online course development, educational web site development, and use of<br />

Blackboard Vista, an online course development and management system.<br />

Information: ETT 101 and 103 or equivalent computer knowledge and experience are required. Must be a <strong>Pima</strong><br />

<strong>Community</strong> <strong>College</strong> (PCC) faculty (full-time or adjunct) or staff (full-time or part-time) or prospective faculty to register<br />

for this class. Frequent and reliable access to the Internet and Web is required.<br />
