Windows help features, Windows Explorer, file management, Windows accessories, exchanging data between programs,<br />

print management, control panel, customizing Windows, and networking with Windows.<br />

Recommendation: Completion of CSA 089 or basic computer skills, completion of REA 091 or required score on the<br />

Reading assessment test before enrolling in this course.<br />

CSA 210 Microsoft Excel Fundamentals<br />

2 cr. hrs. 4 periods (1 lec., 3 lab)<br />

Basic and intermediate functions and features of Microsoft Excel. Includes cells and cell content, data analysis, formula<br />

calculations, graphics, workgroup collaborations, format and print worksheets, and managing and modifying workbooks.<br />

Also includes preparation for the Microsoft Office Specialist (MOS) Excel Certification.<br />

Information: Completion of CSA 089, CSA 100, or basic computer skills, and completion of REA 091 or testing above<br />

REA 091 on the Reading assessment test before enrolling in this course.<br />

CSA 221 Integrating Microsoft Word Projects<br />

3 cr. hrs. 4 periods (2 lec., 2 lab)<br />

Production of integrated business communications using Microsoft Word. Includes conducting business research on the<br />

Web, managing communications with Microsoft Word, creating an online form, delivering presentations with PowerPoint,<br />

developing macros, integrating business communications in Word, integrating data between programs, and converting<br />

documents for Web posting.<br />

Prerequisite(s): CSA 120 or 220.<br />

Information: Prerequisite(s) may be waived with MOS Word Specialist certification.<br />

CSA 265 Advanced Microsoft Access<br />

3 cr. hrs. 4 periods (2 lec., 2 lab)<br />

Advanced database concepts, to include how to import and retrieve data, creation of complex queries and using the SQL<br />

view; creation of complex forms, reports, and user interface; use of the VBA interface, connecting to the Web, and<br />

security within a Microsoft Access database.<br />

Prerequisite(s): CSA 170.<br />

Information: Advanced computer application skills necessary.<br />
