diversity, values, perspectives, as they relate to student’s success.<br />

Recommendation: Completion of REA 091 and WRT 100 before enrolling in this course or concurrent enrollment.<br />

STU 200 Becoming a Critical Thinker<br />

3 cr. hrs. 3 periods (3 lec.)<br />

Development and application of thinking strategies. Includes understanding the fundamentals, application of thinking skills<br />

to everyday issues, perceiving, believing and knowing, critical questioning, reporting, inferring and judging,<br />

argumentation, language and thought, creative thinking, and critical thinking strategies.<br />

Recommendation: Completion of REA 091 before enrolling in this course or concurrent enrollment.<br />

STU 210 Transfer Strategies<br />

2 cr. hrs. 2 periods (2 lec.)<br />

Transitioning to a college or university. Includes planning for successful transferring, community college/university<br />

resources, and transition procedures and policies. Also includes completing applications and participating in activities for<br />

transferring to a college or university of choice.<br />

Recommendation: Consult with a counselor or advisor prior to enrolling in this course. Completion of STU 107, 109, or<br />

109A is strongly recommended.<br />

Exploration of the world of work and success in the modern workplace. Includes nature of the modern workplace, skills<br />

skills, practice of employment success skills, and traditional and modern employment search strategies.<br />
