the mathematics competency requirement can be met
by:
1. assessment – a score of 32 or above on the compass
algebra test or aSSEt Elementary algebra
test. See an advisor or counselor for verification
of your assessment score.
or
2. Course work – if the competency is not met by
assessment, a minimum of 1 credit hour of
course work from the Mathematics Category at
the 100 level or higher is required.
note: Students who meet the Mathematics
Competency requirement by assessment or by completing
Mathematics Category course work with fewer
than 3 credits are still required to complete a total of at
least 3 credits from the analysis and Critical thinking
requirement.
