The rate <strong>of</strong> the non-linear counter depends on<br />

the multivibrator clock frequency selected<br />

under control <strong>of</strong> the three most significant bits<br />

<strong>of</strong> the counter. This makes the count rate a<br />

function <strong>of</strong> both the count value <strong>of</strong> counter and<br />

frequency <strong>of</strong> clock multivibrator selected.<br />

Clock multiplexing is accomplished by an<br />

<strong>ITT</strong>9309 dual 4-input multiplexer and one<br />

<strong>ITT</strong>9002 quad gate. Eight line segments<br />

representing clock rates <strong>of</strong> the multivibrators<br />

may be adjusted in slope to approximate a<br />

non-linear function.<br />
