The SAH190 is a monolithic, MOC integrated,<br />

special LSI circuit. Only three SAH190 circuits<br />

are required to generate the twelve notes <strong>of</strong> the<br />

highest octave in electronic organs. A twophase<br />

clock generator, which is in practice the<br />

master oscillator <strong>of</strong> the organ, is required for<br />

driving the SAH190. This generator delivers a<br />

frequency considerably higher than that <strong>of</strong> the<br />

highest octave. The SAH190 generates four<br />

tones, the frequency spacing <strong>of</strong> which corresponds<br />

to an interval <strong>of</strong> three semitones by<br />

dividing the clock frequency. By externally<br />

switching the connection Option 1 these four<br />

notes can be lowered as desired by a semitone<br />

or by a whole tone so that the twelve master<br />

oscillators required hitherto can be replaced by<br />

three SAH190 units. By switching the connection<br />

Option 11, the output frequencies <strong>of</strong> the<br />

SAH190 can be modified by one octave. One<br />

can therefore choose whether the tones generated<br />

are to lie in the third octave or the<br />

fourth octave above middle C, for instance.<br />

The outputs A to D <strong>of</strong> the SAH190 are specifically<br />

designed for directly driving the integrated<br />

frequency divider SAJ110, see Fig. 3.<br />

In addition, a further load with a resistance <strong>of</strong><br />

greater then 10kn can be conne·cted. The.output<br />

signal has a square wave form with a<br />

pulse duty factor <strong>of</strong> 0.5. The greatest deviation<br />

<strong>of</strong> the twelve tones from the equal temperament<br />

scale is ±0.03 0/00.<br />
