Environment & Mechanical Properties<br />

HUMIDITY-Capacitors are tested after exposure<br />

to a maximum humidity <strong>of</strong> 95 % at<br />

40·C for 21 days with no voltage applied.<br />

LEAD STRENGTH-Leads are capable <strong>of</strong> withstanding<br />

a pull <strong>of</strong> 1 po.und for 10 seconds and<br />

can tolerate two 90 degree bends without<br />

failure.<br />

MOUNTING & SOLDERING-TAG tapacitors<br />

can be dip~soldered with a maximum bath<br />

temperature <strong>of</strong> 270·C. Acid flux is not suitable<br />

and can damage the units. Soldering time<br />

sho.':Ild no~ exceed 3 seconds and the cases<br />

<strong>of</strong> tne- -units should not be dipped to closer<br />

than Va" <strong>of</strong> the bath surface.<br />

When bending leads, no stress should be applied<br />

to the case. Avoid mounting adjacent<br />

to heat radiating components.<br />
