DECADE COUNTER<br />

The <strong>ITT</strong>371 HLL MS1 counter generates BCD<br />

on its outputs. It has direct set inputs for each<br />

<strong>of</strong> its four internal f1ip·flops and a common<br />

reset. Two clock inputs are provided, facilitat·<br />

ing the input ENABLE function. A ninth count<br />

output is provided as a carry output for cascad·<br />

ing 371's so a decimal number <strong>of</strong> any size<br />

may be generated. The passive outputs are<br />

ideal inputs to the 380 Series BCD decoders.<br />

The 371 is level sensitive, counting as the clock<br />

goes low. Holding either clock low will inhibit<br />

the count sequence. Direct set or reset is accomplished<br />

by switching the desired input high.<br />

All unused direct set and reset inputs must be<br />

grounded.<br />
