1972 and welcomes girls and boys of all nationalities from age
3 to 18.
ISL follows the IB Primary Years Programme throughout all
the primary classes, from early childhood 1 to grade 5. Using
the PYP we are able to provide students with an international
curriculum that focuses on developing the whole child.
The secondary curriculum follows the IB Middle Years
Programme and the full IB Diploma Programme.
Comprehensive and integrated English as a Second Language
programmes are available at all ages. Non-English speaking
students are admitted at primary and secondary levels and
given special English language support through intensive
English or ESL courses.
ISL offers a comprehensive mother tongue programme at
PYP, MYP and DP level, which is fully integrated into the
regular curriculum. Current languages taught include Arabic,
Danish, Dutch, Finnish, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Polish,
Portuguese, Russian and Spanish.
activities across all age ranges. Primary activities include
garden club, yearbook, choir and football as well as extra
lessons in piano, drums, violin, dance, gymnastics and karate.
Secondary activities include the debating club, yearbook,
school play, International Evening, school newspaper, choir,
photography and chess. There is a yearly ski trip during
February half-term holiday. Many sports are arranged during
lunchtimes, as well as after school, utilising the nearby
Brentford Leisure Centre and the facilities of Gunnersbury
Park.
We offer door-to-door transport covering west, central and
south London.
Workshops, theatre visits and excursions are an integral
part of our teaching and learning programme. The many and
varied resources of London are used for the educational and
cultural benefits of the whole school community.
