Colegio Interacional de Caracas (CIC) traces its history back to
1896 and has a proven record of academic excellence and
leadership among international schools in Venezuela.
Catering for students from PN-12 it is an IB World School
dedicated to making sure your child is included, challenged
and successful. We are accredited by the Southern Association
of School and Colleges (SACS).
Our students come from over 40 countries and learn about
our world while feeling safe and happy at school. Instruction is
delivered in English and language learners whose native
tongue is other than English are provided support in the ESOL
program.
The beautiful ten acre campus has excellent academic, art,
athletic and technological facilities. In addition to the
challenging and world renowned IB Middle Years and Diploma
Programmes, we also offer stimulating preschool and
elementary academic programs. Our academic programs are
enhanced by a comprehensive after school program that helps
develop well-rounded, global citizens. Sports, drama, music,
SAMUN, JMUN and many other activities give students the
chance to develop their special talents. The AYA Club (Ayuda y
Amistad) provides a chance for CIC to give back to the
community and for over 20 years the AYA has been helping
local orphanages, businesses, nursing homes and schools.
The majority of CIC graduates go on to attend universities in
the USA or Canada, whilst the others return to their home
countries to continue their education. Our students always
find themselves well-prepared and ready to meet the
challenges of higher education. This is thanks to a dedicated
and experienced set of educators from around the world who
will give students the personal attention they deserve, whether
they are just starting school for the first time or almost ready
to move onto university.
Parents are an integral part of our community and the PTA
runs year round events, which help promote and strengthen
our reputation as a family orientated school that cares. For
many, we are more than just a school, for many, we are a home
away from home.
