UPAEP University
Bachilleratos UPAEP Angelópolis and Santiago students
have access to all university resources, including the museum,
library, athletic facilities, and academic conferences. The
UPAEP university, with a student body of 15,000, was founded
in 1973 and has maintained a reputation for academic
excellence throughout its 38 year history. The university’s
business incubator was recently named the best high-tech
incubator in Mexico by the Federal Secretary of the Economy.
As part of its commitment to internationalism, the university
offers dual degree programs and maintains exchange
programs with numerous foreign universities. Additionally,
the UPAEP university is a member of International Student
Exchange Programs (ISEP), Consortium for North American
Higher Education Collaboration (CONAHEC), and the Union
of Latin American and Caribbean Universities (UDUAL).
A Privileged Location
The UPAEP is deeply rooted in the local community of Puebla,
a UNESCO World Heritage City characterized by its colonial
architecture and considered the ‘Athens of Mexico’ for its high
concentration of universities and intellectual atmosphere. With
a population of approximately two million inhabitants, Puebla
is an important economic and industrial center and is
consistently ranked as one of the safest cities in Mexico.
