Windermere Preparatory School is a beautiful pre-k-3 through
grade 12 private school located on 48 acres in south-west
Orlando, which opened its doors to the community in 2000.
The high school curriculum is not solely IB with a current
enrollment of 275 students across grades 9 through 12. All of
our IB Diploma Programme courses are taught as two-year
courses. We are currently in our second year of the programme
with a class of approximately 75 students in grade 11 and 52 in
grade 12.
Our entire campus is completely wireless and all students,
grades 5 and up, are required to use a personal laptop for
coursework. We also offer a boys’/girls’ boarding program for
high school students. Windermere Prep’s school
administrators and faculty are highly professional, committed,
knowledgeable, and are recognized as a critical part of a strong
education. This is closely coupled with parental participation
and support. The school community grows out of strong, open
communication between administration, faculty, parents,
students, and the community at large.
Windermere Prep is a member of the Florida High School
Athletic Association (FHSAA), which promotes, directs,
supervises, and regulates all interscholastic high school
athletic events in the State of Florida. We have both boys’ and
girls’ teams in all of the following sports: football, golf,
swimming, volleyball, basketball, soccer, baseball, tennis,
and track. We also offer lacrosse (boys only).

Our fine and performing arts programs include art, music,
drama, film and dance where students are always encouraged
to explore their talents and options, whether through drawing,
painting or sculpture, performing monologues, short skits,
dramatic plays and musicals, or developing an appreciation of
music through enrollment in music classes: chorus or band.
Creating and producing films as well as creating and
choreographing a variety of dance programs are also part of
the performing arts curricula.
High School clubs and organizations include: National Art
Honor Society, National Honor Society, Mu Alpha Theta (math
club), Sociedad Honoria Hispanica, French Honor Society, Tri
M Music Honor Society, Basketball Club, Touch Rugby Club
(co-ed), Habitat for Humanity, Thespian Club, Latin Club, Pre-
Med Club, Marine Club, Robotics, Student Government,
Guitar Club, Photography Club and Dance Club.
Our philosophy provides an educational environment that
