The Godolphin and Latymer School is an independent day
school for 700 girls aged between 11 and 18; it is located in
Hammersmith, West London, and is easily accessible by
public transport from the surrounding areas. The school offers
an exciting range of facilities including the new Rudland
Music School, with its own recording studio, and a new drama
and performance space in the recently opened Bishops
Centre. The school benefits from having its sports facilities,
tennis courts and Astroturf all on site.
We are a school with a strong pastoral ethos, where
academic excellence is encouraged in a caring environment
and where each individual girl is able to develop her interests
and her talents in all areas. We aim to provide choice and
challenge for each pupil with the IB Diploma Programme or
traditional A levels being offered as part of the sixth form
curriculum. The school has an excellent academic record and
when girls leave us at 18, to take up their places at leading
universities in this country and overseas, they are confident,
articulate and independent.
Girls are proud of their school and value its unique character.
They enjoy a wide range of extracurricular activities and
appreciate the many opportunities to take responsibility within
the school community and contribute to its future
development. Girls have the chance to enjoy an exciting range
of visits during their time at the school, recent examples being
trips to the Loire Valley, Greece, Washington and a ski trip to
Vermont. Sixth form girls are able to participate in European
work experience in Versailles or Berlin, giving them an
opportunity to gain an insight into possible future careers as
well as practising their language skills. The school aims to
develop students who will become the leading citizens of the
future; girls who are capable of thinking for themselves and who
can demonstrate a critical awareness of the wider world, having
a sense of their own worth whilst being appreciative of others.
