Stratford Hall is east Vancouver’s coeducational, nondenominational
K-12 school and an IB World School.
Our commitment to the IB places us amongst the world’s
top schools. We were the first in western Canada authorized to
deliver the IB Primary Years Programme, and are one of very
few schools in Canada to offer all the IB programmes
exclusively from kindergarten to grade 12. This commitment
supports a school culture focused on international
mindedness and preparing students for a complex world.

Situated on Commercial Drive, Stratford Hall is minutes from
Vancouver amenities. Access to public transit, including the
nearby SkyTrain, gives older students significant freedom. Our
central location and direct connection with our neighbourhood
make us an urban school. Our PYP building was purpose-built
for inquiry-based and collaborative learning.
Stratford Hall’s academics are geared to the highest
standards of university admission. Our experiential courses
have been designed to expose students to outdoor education,
physical education, planning and performing arts. We offer
Spanish from kindergarten and French from grade 7.
Mandarin is also available.
Stratford Hall’s co-curricular programming is strong; our
teams compete in school leagues and a variety of special
interest clubs engage students. Our students also participate
in a comprehensive outdoor education program starting in
grade 4. Students are able to take advantage of the west coast
opportunities by participating in activities such as sailing,
swimming, skiing, snowshoeing, kayaking and camping.
