This burgeoning school is nestled in an exclusive district of
Singapore and in recent years has been garnering notice as the
ideal place to grow as an international student.
Nexus International School (NIS) admitted its first students
in January 2007 and currently meets the educational needs of
about 350 students from over 50 different countries.
At NIS, a warm and friendly environment propels students to
become individuals with character. Teachers have a lot of
contact time with students and encourage them to think out
of the box in order to learn independently and in an inquisitive
fashion that transforms them into thinking individuals with
great initiative.
The school is a regular member of the Council of
International Schools (CIS) and is an approved Cambridge
International Examinations (CIE) centre. It is an International
Baccalaureate World School authorised to offer the IB Primary
Years and Diploma Programmes. It is also a candidate for
CIS/WASC accreditation.

want to join the school but are beginners or have little
knowledge of the English language. Upon successful
completion of the programme, students are able to join
mainstream classes continuing to build their English
language skills.
The 44,000 square metre campus has facilities to support all
academic and co-curricular programmes for up to 1200
students. These include swimming pools, gymnasiums, sports
fields, and science, computer, and multimedia laboratories to
support its centres of excellence – sciences, arts and sports.
Students can engage in activities such as sports and games
like table tennis, badminton, dance and swimming. NIS is a
member of the Athletic Conference of Singapore International
Schools, which organises student sport league competition in
which NIS teams actively participate.
Other activities include drama, media, journalism, Chinese
calligraphy and environmental clubs.
The NIS academic year is from August to June, and accepts
admissions throughout the year, subject to places availability.
