students will commit themselves to:<br />

• a two year journey of discovery and self-awareness;<br />

• an experience that will be ultimately both rewarding and<br />

empowering; and<br />

• an outcome that will enable a smooth transition between<br />

school and university.<br />

As a non-selective school, students at Redlands have the<br />

opportunity to study for the <strong>IB</strong> Diploma Programme if they so<br />

wish. Careful counselling is undertaken in considering course<br />

structure and styles of learning to assist students in making<br />

the right choice for them. Each year between 20% and 33% of<br />

Redlands students select the <strong>IB</strong>.<br />

Redlands <strong>IB</strong> Results<br />

• Over the past six years, three Redlands students have<br />

achieved the perfect <strong>IB</strong> score – 45/45.<br />

• In 2010, 23% of candidates achieved an <strong>IB</strong> score of 40+,<br />

equating to an ATAR of 98 and above.<br />

• In 2009-2010, 12% of candidates were awarded rare<br />

bilingual diplomas – in French, German, Chinese,<br />

Japanese and Korean.<br />

At Redlands, all components of the <strong>IB</strong> Diploma Programme<br />

are delivered by a strong team of <strong>IB</strong> teachers, including<br />

assistant examiners and moderators in their subject areas, <strong>IB</strong><br />

trained workshop leaders and teachers who are involved in<br />

curriculum review.<br />
