students will commit themselves to:
• a two year journey of discovery and self-awareness;
• an experience that will be ultimately both rewarding and
empowering; and
• an outcome that will enable a smooth transition between
school and university.
As a non-selective school, students at Redlands have the
opportunity to study for the IB Diploma Programme if they so
wish. Careful counselling is undertaken in considering course
structure and styles of learning to assist students in making
the right choice for them. Each year between 20% and 33% of
Redlands students select the IB.
Redlands IB Results
• Over the past six years, three Redlands students have
achieved the perfect IB score – 45/45.
• In 2010, 23% of candidates achieved an IB score of 40+,
equating to an ATAR of 98 and above.
• In 2009-2010, 12% of candidates were awarded rare
bilingual diplomas – in French, German, Chinese,
Japanese and Korean.
At Redlands, all components of the IB Diploma Programme
are delivered by a strong team of IB teachers, including
assistant examiners and moderators in their subject areas, IB
trained workshop leaders and teachers who are involved in
curriculum review.
