Oeiras International School (OIS) is a not-for-profit school
offering an international curriculum taught in English for Year
6 to Year 13 students. As an International Baccalaureate (IB)
World School we are authorized to offer the IB Diploma
Programme (DP) and we are a candidate school for the IB
Middle Years Programme (MYP).

This non-profit school was founded by a group of parents
and teachers deeply committed to academic excellence and
intellectual rigour, to a focus on individual learning styles
(multi-level teaching) and to community. We have gathered
together an international group of enthusiastic, energetic and
highly qualified teachers. The school intends to grow in size
and will maintain the sense of community and freedom
amongst the students and teachers, which is enhanced by
smaller class sizes (maximum 16 students per class).
For the student or child this means that the school has an
innovative and creative character, provides an environment of
openness and mutual respect and develops the individual
talents of each and every student. Extracurricular activities
focus on creativity and community service; a variety of sports
activities are also provided.
