Established in 1970, the Aga Khan Academy, Nairobi, is a
private, coeducational school located on a five-acre plot in the
Parklands suburb of Nairobi, Kenya.
The academy has an enrolment of 700 students and is
authorised to offer the International Baccalaureate Primary
Years and Diploma Programmes. We are also a candidate
school for the IB Middle Years Programme and offer the IGCSE
at grades 10 and 11. The Aga Khan Academy, Nairobi, is run by
the Aga Khan Education Service Kenya, a non-profit
organization that operates 11 schools.
Mission: will enable many generations of students to
acquire both the knowledge and the essential spiritual
wisdom needed to balance that knowledge and enable their
lives to attain the highest fulfillment.
Admission: is based primarily on merit determined by a
wide range of criteria, including academic strengths and
overall potential.
Our curriculum combines academic excellence with first
class sporting and performance arts programmes.

Faculty Profile
The faculty at the Aga Khan Academy are of the highest
calibre and reflect the school’s cultural diversity. All teachers
have internationally recognized qualifications and together
bring a wealth of educational expertise and international
experience to the school.
Facilities
Two ICT resource centres, dance studio, three music rooms,
three art rooms, four science labs, well resourced junior and
senior school libraries, an IB study centre with wireless
connection, swimming pool, basketball/netball courts and
sports fields.
The nursery school is also candidate for the IB Primary Years
Programme.
