Utahloy International School Zengcheng is an inclusive<br />

coeducational day and boarding school catering for the<br />

educational needs of expatriate families across a broad<br />

demographic. Utahloy is an <strong>IB</strong> <strong>World</strong> School and member of<br />

the Council of International Schools. The school was<br />

established in August 2003 and is authorized to offer the <strong>IB</strong><br />

Diploma Programme. The school is currently undergoing the<br />

final stages of the Primary Years Programme accreditation and<br />

well underway with the Middle Years Programme accreditation<br />

process.<br />

Facilities<br />

The school is located on 85 hectares of landscaped botanical<br />

gardens and lakes surrounded by hillside tracks suitable for<br />

walking, jogging and cycling. The first class sporting facilities,<br />

including a multipurpose outdoor sports hall, Olympic-size<br />

swimming pool, football fields, volleyball and tennis courts,<br />

supports the delivery of a healthy sports programme in<br />

addition to a varied co-curricular programme from K-12.<br />

Academic programmes<br />

The school prides itself on its focus on academic<br />

achievement matched by a cutting edge pastoral care<br />

programme. The school is dedicated to tailoring the<br />

curriculum to the needs of the individual and committed to<br />

small class sizes. The host country language and culture is<br />

studied through a mother tongue language programme,<br />

specialist Chinese language classes, integrated units of work<br />

in the classroom, and field trips in the region. Students<br />

participate in a full range of extracurricular activities and<br />

sporting events. Global citizenry is developed through:<br />

community service projects; environmental sustainability<br />

activities; and through our emphasis on multilingual<br />

communication. We are proud of Utahloy’s commitment to<br />

the development of internationally-minded students who will<br />

benefit from their global connections and help create a better<br />

world.<br />

Boarding<br />

The boarding school caters to students from grade 2-12 with<br />

specifically designed boarding programmes, study regimes<br />

and evening activities. The purpose-built, boarding house<br />

provides ample communal space and three or four bedroom<br />

dorms with two en suite bathrooms in each. Parents can<br />

choose five-day, seven-day or flexi boarding.<br />

Faculty<br />

The teaching faculty comes from China, England, USA,<br />

Australia, New Zealand, France, Columbia, Brazil, Korea and<br />

Canada, providing a variety of educational backgrounds and<br />

international experience.<br />

Admissions<br />

Admissions officers are available throughout the year to<br />

speak to prospective families and provide tours of the campus.<br />

Applicants do not need to sit an entrance exam. Application<br />

forms can be downloaded from the website.<br />
