Beijing <strong>World</strong> Youth Academy (BWYA) was founded in 2001 as<br />

an independent university preparatory school, and has grown<br />

over the past ten years to become an international school<br />

delivering an excellent standard of education from grades 4 to<br />

12. Our aim is to help our students to develop into enquiring,<br />

knowledgeable and caring young people who are active and<br />

compassionate lifelong learners. Our graduates have been<br />

accepted at renowned universities such as Peking, Tsinghua,<br />

student council to an array of student-led community service<br />

projects around the capital city. The always-expanding<br />

extracurricular activity programme encourages students to<br />

engage their interests and develop new skills.<br />

Healthy learning environment<br />

Significant investments have been made to support learning<br />

with appropriate facilities. Bright and spacious classrooms are<br />

equipped with interactive Whiteboards. Science labs have new<br />

fixtures and are stocked to accommodate a wide range of<br />

experiments. BWYA is proud to encourage creativity and<br />

innovation, and has two dedicated art studios as well as a<br />

multi-purpose performing arts room and a design technology<br />

suite with carpentry shop. A newly renovated library and<br />

resource center anchors the Wang Jing campus, and provides<br />

vital learning support with electronic resources, a variety of<br />

books for different age levels and a large selection of<br />

magazines, all housed in an open, comfortable environment.<br />

Students have access to large outdoor athletic facilities, and<br />

the school has relationships with swimming pools and<br />

athletic complexes to allow students experience different<br />

sports and exercise activities.
