Beijing World Youth Academy (BWYA) was founded in 2001 as
an independent university preparatory school, and has grown
over the past ten years to become an international school
delivering an excellent standard of education from grades 4 to
12. Our aim is to help our students to develop into enquiring,
knowledgeable and caring young people who are active and
compassionate lifelong learners. Our graduates have been
accepted at renowned universities such as Peking, Tsinghua,
McGill, Stanford, Princeton and Harvard.

Our student body is made up of more than 35 nationalities
and includes local Beijingers and students from all over
China. The diverse backgrounds of our qualified faculty

projects around the capital city. The always-expanding
extracurricular activity programme encourages students to
engage their interests and develop new skills.
Healthy learning environment
Significant investments have been made to support learning
with appropriate facilities. Bright and spacious classrooms are
equipped with interactive Whiteboards. Science labs have new
fixtures and are stocked to accommodate a wide range of
experiments. BWYA is proud to encourage creativity and
innovation, and has two dedicated art studios as well as a
multi-purpose performing arts room and a design technology
suite with carpentry shop. A newly renovated library and
resource center anchors the Wang Jing campus, and provides
vital learning support with electronic resources, a variety of
books for different age levels and a large selection of
magazines, all housed in an open, comfortable environment.
Students have access to large outdoor athletic facilities, and
the school has relationships with swimming pools and
athletic complexes to allow students experience different
sports and exercise activities.
