Recent Developments
The Hague
On the 1st August 2011 the regional office relocated from
Geneva to The Hague, The Netherlands. The new Africa,
Europe, Middle East (AEM) Global Centre houses the
second of the permanent global centre offices to open
and is home to the academic division as well as global
communications, global human resources, global
strategy planning, global language services and the
global project management office and of course the
regional office, which is located on the same floor as the
academic division. The co-location gives great
opportunity for even more collaboration between staff.
This was a major project and is part of the continuing
effort to improve service to schools and educators, which
is the prime consideration. The relocation gave the
regional office the opportunity to further develop
documentation, processes and systems that will help
ensure they remain close to the schools in the region and
meet their needs now and in the future.
