Eyüboglu Educational Institutions are a group of private,
coeducational schools founded in 1985. EEI is comprised of
five kindergardens, three elementary sections, a secondary,
and a science secondary section and offers a bilingual
education to students aged 2 to 18. All Eyuboglu schools are
accredited or re-accredited by CIS. School philosophy is based
on academic excellence, internationalism, intercultural and
social awareness. Eyüboglu schools were the first Turkish
institutions to achieve authorization to offer all three IB
programmes: Diploma, Middle Years and Primary Years. With
this unique feature, the schools’ internationally recognized
high standards of academic excellence enables the Eyüboglu
graduates to further their studies in the finest universities,
both locally and in the US, Canada and the UK.
There is a strong ESL program in all sections, leading our
students to, in addition to IB qualifications, UCLES and TOEFL
English proficiency examinations. Starting from grade 5,
German, French and Spanish are taught as a second foreign
language. Elective subjects offer more intensive and
specialized study in the fields of social sciences, sciences, arts,
music, computer and astronomy. Individualized instruction is
part of the curriculum. There is a wide variety of extracurricular
activities in art, music, humanities and drama. Besides
traditional sports activities, archery, horse riding, fencing,
swimming, folk dancing, and modern dance are also offered.
Teachers have an average of ten years of teaching
experience, and 42% of the subject teachers hold
postgraduate degrees. The average tenure at the school is
seven years.
Facilities on the campus include an arts and sports complex
with a swimming pool, various art studios and sports areas for
handball, volleyball, athletics, basketball, archery, ballet and
folk-dancing. There is a theatre hall (seating 500), a full-sized
gymnasium, four smaller multi-purpose PE halls, activity
rooms, four art and ceramics studios, four libraries with
56,000 volumes, tennis, basketball and handball courts, a
bocce field, and a general playing field. There are 11 science
laboratories. The two observatories are equipped with
powerful telescopes, which enable the school and wider
community to make astronomical observations.
Admission to Eyüboglu is offered on the basis of a school
administered examination for the elementary section and
according to Turkish Ministry of Education regulations for the
secondary sections.
