grade. We have a strong lower and upper school
curriculum and we offer the IB Middle Years Programme
(IBMYP) in grades 6 to 8.
WE’RE ABOUT RESULTS:
• 98% of all graduating eighth graders are accepted to their
first choice of high school.
Founded in 1964, St. Alcuin Montessori School nurtures and
guides children from 18 months through eighth grade
according to the principles and methods of Maria Montessori.
As the largest Montessori school in the Southwest, St.
Alcuin is an independent, nonsectarian, coeducational school
serving a diverse community of approximately 500 students.
The addition, in 2010, of two LEED-certified buildings that
include a new gymnasium, two new libraries, and state-of-theart
fourth through eighth grade classrooms, enhances St.
Alcuin’s beautiful 12-acre campus in North Dallas. By
emphasizing interdisciplinary studies across traditional
academic, social, and international boundaries, St. Alcuin
develops students’ capacities for critical thinking and
compassionate action in a complex world. The middle school
uses a Montessori approach while following the IB MYP
framework.
St. Alcuin Montessori School is accredited by the
Independent Schools Association of the Southwest (ISAS),
recognized by the Association Montessori Internationale
